We keep it simple with four zones:
Zone 1 – 2
Light Jog
Easy does it. Think warm-up energy.
Zone 3 – 5
Float
This is your happy place. Nose breathing is on, you can chat in short sentences, shoulders are relaxed. You could hold this for 90 minutes and honestly, it would feel pretty good.
Zone 6 – 8
Push
Things are getting spicy. You're working hard and you know it, this pace has an expiry date of around 3–4 minutes max.
Zone 9 – 10
Full Send
Everything you've got. Legs, lungs, heart...all you, all in. Leaving nothing behind.
